But, more to the point, it looks like Bigfoot is going South for the Summer break. The tracks leading to the suspicion of trekking ape-men were first found by a man named Pork Lowman while he was walking through the woods in Burke County, NC. The track measured fifteen by eight inches. A farmer also found a track near the intersection of Highway 18 and Hildebran School Road around the southern part of Burke County. Both men knew from the moment they laid eyes on the prints that they were dealing with no ordinary giant footprint. They were dealing with something much more. More on this at the link.

B.T. Well, I know I have. And, I'm here to say that people have finally taken advantage of the "watch" sound in Sasquatch's name and put it to good use. Featuring, the "Sasqwatch." This is the watch the has a big foot as the frame. Pink. A beautiful color for a hairy foot. A great anniversary or valentine's day present. Now, if you'll notice, the little Sasquatch inside has arms that are telling the minute and the hour? Isn't that special? Honestly, I think this would be worth having. But, at the same time, it perfectly illustrates how much capitalist society has turned a wonder of nature into money making scheme. How grand.

B.T. But, rest assured, this is one weirdly named feline that isn't dancing and cheer-leading. It has been sighted around West Dorset 30 times since Christmas.
According to photographer, Alan McNamee, there is something out there. He has gathered a team of people who will respond to Big Cat sightings as they are reported. Unfortunately, what caused him to go to all of this trouble, was one harrowing experience.
He stated, "I was working late one night at home and I heard a noise. I went downstairs and looked outside, towards the fields at the back of my house, and I saw that the hedge was thrashing about. Then I saw a large cat with a badger in its mouth. It leapt onto a bank and disappeared. It completely shook me up."
Allan called the police, who very soon after arrived at the scene.
Well, Alan would soon get lots of reports, for there were many more sightings, such as the one on February 19, 2010. A woman was driving over A53 (between Bridgeport and Dorchester) saw it running across a field. Numerous land owners also reported that they saw it. For now, no one is quite certain why the big cats came out now, of all times. But, it's just a matter of time before a pattern is revealed.

Please, stay tuned

B.T. Well, according to recent findings, the Sinornithosaurus (AKA the Chinese lizard-bird) came before either. There weren't actually any bodies to speak of, but there were fossils that showed plenty of proof.
The fossils seem to say that this turkey-sized bird lizard creature had large fangs that had little grooves inside them. These were supposedly used for biting and injecting venom. Also, the venom wasn't supposed to be lethal; it only would shock the prey so the bird monster could rip it to shreds and viciously devour it.
They also had feathers used for flight on the back of their legs, which showed that it was a four-winged gliding predator. These fossils were found in northeast China and they, according to Larry Martin (a KU scientist), are going to change they way people think of birds and will completely shake up what we know about birds. I would think so, what with the bird being a gliding raptor that could probably tear you in half. Really, I'm not surprised at all.

B.T. Most people and their brother would say that every Bigfoot footprint was a fake. But, I bet my blog that no one could disprove a print and a sighting in the same place. I welcome you to San Antonio, Texas.
Local police say that a 'Bigfoot-type' creature was seen lumbering around highway 151 and Loop 1604. Someone called the police and said that a big hairy thing was dragging a deer carcass into the woods. The cops searched the area, but they never found anything.
"If one sighting is real, then that means something is out there," said Rick Tullos, who is a member of the Gulf Coast Bigfoot Research Organization. Tullos was looking for any telltale signs that Bigfoot tried to make a speedy escape, like bent fences or hairs latched onto trees. He and a News 4 WOAI news crew searched the area, but they found nothing. But, wait, what's this? A strange foot print that didn't like like that of a human's? OH MY GOD! WHO CALLED IT? I said at the beginning of this blog that there was going to be both a sighting and a print in the same area and, what do you know, I was right! Anyways, so Tullo said that he was going to test the print to see if it was legit. But, in the meantime, we just sit back and wait for another sighting.

B.T. The film is about two Bigfoot hunters, Dallas Gilbert and Wayne Burton, as they cope with problems of the past and the present, and at the same time catch the Bigfoot video of the century. Their quest started when the two spotted a strange creature in the woods near their home town in Ohio, and since then, they've spent valuable time and money on the equipment (AKA, a barbecue, a couple of folding chairs, and a video camera) that they use.
Both Dallas and Wayne seem a little bit emotional, and they don't seem to mind sharing their problems. The sadder interviews show the one of them either crying or talking about past experiences and emo incidents.
Though it really IS (for the most part) an average Bigfoot documentary, the two average joes show their passion for Bigfoot hunting through the interviews and throughout the scenes in the movie. Though you don't get to see Bigfoot, you get to see the lives of two men who have dedicated years of patience and study to this enigma that we call "Sasquatch."

B.T. I'm not saying that it isn't an awesome name, but normally, people would think that would be pretty weird. But, that guy did have some hair on his face, so I wouldn't put it passed him to maybe shave to disguise his true cryptid form. Really, it wouldn't surprise me a bit. Roland Smith introduces Marty and Grace, a pair of fun-loving, and yet slightly flawed twins in his book, "Cryptid Hunters." In the book, after their parents are missing from a plane crash, the twins end up with their Uncle Travis. Soon after, they get dropped into a jungle by accident. So, in a fight to survive the perilous jungle, they stumble upon something that both Uncle Travis and his enemy, Noah Blackwood, are after.
In a way, it's almost offensive to cryptozoologists, seeing as how their uncle, Travis Wolfe, is a cryptozoologist and yet, he is described as a cryptid hunter, while cryptozoologists aren't necessarily hunters of cryptids. I also found that I couldn't really tell where the twins were from because it didn't leave any clues in the dialouge, so I couldn't really establish that part of their character which had irritated me constantly. Also, the book never really explains some of the strange things that happen in the book, like how a native of the Congo is able to use a shotgun, or how you could get over lifelong fears in an hour.
But, the pros of the book are that it was very action packed, so there was never a moment of dullness or a moment where there wasn't something intriguing being said. It was also noticed that nothing was written in the book as a space filler. Everything was relevant to the story, or was at least going to trigger something later in the book, or maybe even was going to explain something later. I thought that the characters were interesting and had a lot of depth. Not like some books where the characters are just words on a page and nothing more. All in all, the book wasn't bad, but it could stand some improvement.

B.T. In a 20 minute battle of muscle over monster, Jessica, with the help of her father Mark, reeled in a 109 pound, 9 foot long monster of a catfish.
"I didn't realize just how big it was until I saw the photos afterwards. It was really hard work pulling it in and my arms turned to jelly. My dad helped lift it onto the bank and I stood back and just laughed when I saw it. It was massive." "Jessica normally catches tiddlers (hey, there's that word again!) but just loves a day's fishing," he said. If you don't know what a bryozoan is, it's a prehistoric animal that is an invertebrate. It reproduces by budding (it puts one in mind of a thing that might come from a "Star Trek'' episode). Well, they're back.
The most recent sightings are being reported at Rung Lake in Tu Trung Commune in the Vinh Tuong district. The first clue of its presence was the mass of dead fish that had sprung up in the lake around the October of 2008. In April, the Binh Minh Cooperative took some fish from the lake with shocking results: All of the fish were dead, weakened before they died, and caught in the net with them were close to two tons of a weird blob-like thing the locals called called "The Strange Creature." The experts, however, knew better than to think that they were monsters, so they knew that they were bryozoans, though I can't really disagree that they were strange.
The even stranger part is, that whenever somebody touched one of the strange creatures, they got itchiness and sore eyes. These creatures were doing nothing for the lake, nor for anybody's complexion. They also discovered that these things were sticking to plants, the bottom of the lake, and other surfaces. Apparently, the fish in lakes might've died after contact with the bryozoans, which explains the sticky mucus that stuck to their gills. Luckily, the bryozoans won't pollute the water and the fish can reproduce. Good news all around.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://cryptozooblog.blogspot.com/2009/05/bryozoan-breakout-in-vietnam-better-get.html' title='Bryozoan Breakout in Vietnam. Barney Hill was a postman and a civil rights activist for the NAACP (The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People). Betty, who was a graduate of UNH, did some social work. On the morning of September 20, 1961 while returning from a vacation in Niagra Falls, NY and Montreal on US Route 3 through the White Mountains, Betty had said she spotted an illuminated object zooming through the sky. Just South of the Franconia Notch in New Hampshire, the disc started to descend, and according to Barney, it hovered 100 feet above their car. They apparently remembered Barney leaving the car to have a look at some sort of humanoid creature, getting back in to the car, and driving home, scared and confused. But this memory maybe wasn't all they thought it was, for the couple noticed that Betty's dress from the other night was torn and their watches had stopped. They even found that their car trunk was marked with concentric circles that made their compass needle spin.
The Hills told their story to their families and to the military officers at the Pease Air Force Base, but didn't tell their tale to anybody else, for they were afraid that they might scoff and mark them as lunatics or that they were raving. Before long, Betty started to have a reocurring dream of the aliens taking them into their ship and doing all sorts of physical tests, and even putting a needle into her abdomen. She also dreamt of seeing the star map that the aliens had brought. Later, in 1964, the Hills went through a series of hypnosis sessions, and told everything that had happened.
Well, Kathy Marden, who pegs herself as a UFOlogist, believed her aunt's (Betty) story. "They were honest, stable, regular people," Marden told the Boston Globe. She also decided to put some of the famed Hill alien abduction artifacts on display, such as Betty's torn dress, the tapes of the hypnosis sessions, a paper mache bust made based on Betty's descriptions of the head alien (who Betty's named Junior), and other items as well. These artifacts can be found at the University of New Hampshire museum.

B.T. Well, if he/she is, then I have the solution. Feed the Easter Bunny. You'll get miraculous results. Here's how.
First, you must get the veggies that you'd imagine the Easter Bunny might like, such as carrots and lettuce. Then you chop up the vegetables, and put them in a bowl. Afterwards you fill up another bowl with water and set both out on your doorstep. Put the baskets you go easter egg hunting with near the bowls. Make sure that if you have pets, that you keep them away from the food you set out.
I guarantee that if you follow these three easy steps, that you'll prove that one of the most elusive mythical creatures will be proven to exist. And if you look outside the next day you will find a pleasant surprise in the baskets, and almost nothing in the bowls. Happy Easter Everyone!!!!!

B.T. It sounds like a cheesy name for a jazz band, but this is some really weird stuff!!! South Korean Scientists at Gyeongsang National University last year
came out with kittens with modified genes, so that their skin would glow under Ultraviolet rays. "The ability to manipulate the flourescent protein and use this to clone cats opens new horizons for artificially creating human illness linked to generic causes," the Ministry of Science and Technology said. Out of the four kittens they produced, 3 survived. Well, it seems that people are making their own cryptids, these days. Go figure.

B.T. Cryptozoologists marvel at it. But is it real? That's the question.
London's Telegraph newspaper reported this week about the emergence of this photo, which appears to show a 100-foot snake in the Baleh river in Borneo.
Questions have arisen about whether this image is either faked or perhaps just a shot of a submerged log or some other object.
Dartmouth University computer science professor Hany Farid, who looked at the shot and reported on his findings in a Scientific American blog, says that because the photo is so grainy, "it's as if you took away 99 percent of a blood sample and asked me to do a forensic analysis." Wise words.
As an expert of digital photography forensics, Farid also says that since there aren't many pixels to analyze, there isn't much that they can say. Photos with such low resolution are the exact reason that people such as Hany and other people are out there. But grainy or not, that photo reveals something strange, either why somebody would make a hoax like that, or what that monster is and, is it dangerous?
While there are clearly doubters, local villagers don't count themselves among them. Those who reside along the banks of the river believe in the serpent's existence and refer to it as Nabau, after an ancient magical serpent which has the powers to turn itself into different animals.
The Telegraph reported that scientists unearthed the fossil of a snake that was longer than a bus this month. The 45-foot long monster was thought to live on a diet of crocodiles and giant turtles.

B.T. I will call her Joan.
"I first found out I had SLI in 2000 or 2001. At first, I had thought, 'Wow, that street lamp just turned off,' but over time, I came to notice it. It happens not only to street lamps, but indoor lamps, too. I turn them off when I'm traveling in a group; I turn them off when I'm alone; and I even turn them off in the car."
And then came the most shocking parts. "About 50% of the time I'm putting in light bulbs, they blow out as soon as they connect with the socket, right in my hand! And also, I was putting on my robe, and when I was walking, sparks started to fly! I even have my boyfriend to vouch for me!"
We shall call her boyfriend, John. " I saw it. It was like those sparklers you see at the 4th of July!" he said.
In Joan's case, the SLI seems to be triggered by her emotions. "It usually happens to me during times of stress," said Joan. "It also happens when I'm happy, but mostly during times of stress. My theory is that it's the electrons in my body. The positive and negative ions start to act up and I turn off the lights. It usually happens to me at least twice a month, if not more."
For those, like Joan, who experience SLI, parts of life seems to be a matter of sitting and watching the sparks fly (or the lamps blow out.)

B.T. Tolkien hadn't been telling a lie. The skull of the so called "hobbit" that had been discovered in Indonesia in 2003 has been classified by numerous experts, like Karen Baab, Ph.D., a researcher of Anatomical Sciences at Stony Brook University in New York as not human. The researchers can tell because the skull isn't quite like an ordinary human skull, or at least, not a healthy one. They believe that the hominid had some sort of disease that caused his brain and his skull to not grow as a normal human's should, but for now, we're all assuming that this skull, didn't belong to a human. This means that we might've shared this Earth with other hominids, which also means that there could possibly be hundreds of other cryptids out there that we just haven't found yet.

B.T. Nicole Hosak, owner of the convenience store, said that the most depressing part of the whole affair was that the Bigfoot statue was the thing that everybody loved to look at, young and old. Nicole had received this statue as a Christmas present from her husband. Last week, the man behind the theft was caught and she got her Mini-Sasquatch back... well, at least another one. A man named Craig Woolheater had read the story on a site and took pity. He called Nicole and promised that if it wasn't returned, he would get her a new Bigfoot statue. Police caught and charged Joshua E. Duncan, 32, of Ford City with the theft and tried to get him to return it but to no avail.
Upon learning this, Woolheater kept to his word. He called the manufacturer, Design Toscano, which donated a replacement. . Woolheater and an official from the Bigfoot Society drove two hours with the replacement Bigfoot to the Niki's Quick Six. Even though she knew he was coming, it was still a huge shock to see Woolheater walk in with a Bigfoot statue.
This is a gerat story with a happy ending. But the whole thing is kind of like the real thing. The search for Bigfoot, I mean. He comes, and he goes, and he comes back again. The irony is so thick you could cut it with a knife. Seriously.

B.T. Well.... they're back. Now, for those of you who haven't ever read my blog before and were just surfing the net and just happened upon this blog I call Crypto-Blog, the Chupacabra that me and the cryptozoology and paranormal sciences of the world have come to recognize as more of a coyote kind of creature has found it's way back to Texas. Study the video.

You'll notice that some of the footage taken here was also in my last blog item video. They talked about the last time a Chupacabra came to Texas. On Friday, August eighth, Corporal Brandon Reidel and his partner were checking fence lines when they spotted the creature. While observing the beast, Reidel went into his squad car and turned on the camera attached to the inside. Reidel and his partner had described the Chupacabra as having a long snout, short front legs, and long hind legs. At first, Reidel said it was a coyote, but when he looked more closely at the footage, he saw these characteristics. They taped the Chupacabra, until it disappeared into the brush. The sheriff says he's happy that Cuero is starting to get some attention for being the Chupacabra capital of the world. This is not, however, good news for the goats.

B.T. With 416 pages of good information including a bibliography, index, and some photo credits, I think that Dr. William F. Williams, a teacher at the Department of Science, Technology, and Society at Pennsylvania State University and author, simply outdid himself with this awesome book!!!! The Encyclopedia of Pseudoscience lists some of the most famous cryptids, but mostly it has unexplained phenomenon and some that is not that unexplained like acupuncture. It also includes things like hoaxes and well-known monsters like vampires. It's a good bedtime reader and it's one of those books that you can just sorta flip through. It's good for bringing along if your one of those people who goes into the field to visit ghost hauntings and other places like that. It looks gruesome It looks like . . . it has a beak? The widely spoken of and utterly creepy (ughhhhhh) Montauk Monster is REALLY big news. The Montauk Monster (as the name suggests) washed up on the beach of Montauk and everybody who was around it came to see it. One of the witnesses said that it looked like a dog with a beak and that he wouldn't be happy if it popped up next to him in the water. This company that was selling this new energy drink put up an advertisement saying that anybody who caught a live Montauk Monster would get a year supply of the drink. To make things even more puzzling (as if it wasn't enough already) nobody knows where the heck the beast is. Last anyone saw of it, this guy was taking it away saying, "I'm going to mount it on my wall."

B.T. What is the What-Is It? Back when it was discovered, people would call it the What-Is-It. I think it looks a bit like a smaller version of Nessie. One single saved photo of the beast was all they had of it. I think they should have taken more shots of the creature because later generations might have wanted to see it. Later generations like, oh, I don't know.... US!!!! We, the people who are fascinated with and dedicate are lives to creatures and phenomenon of the unknown. But, anyways, I just think Houdini himself is a paranormal phenomenon. So in conclusion, the sea monster shall live on as Houdini's playing of Jonah in a whale (or in this case, What-Is-It.)

B.T. Places to see, things to do, and feelings of romance to be felt. Italy has everything... including unicorns. This is actually a Roe Deer (nicknamed "Unicorn") who was born with one horn unlike his brother, who was born with two (I know I'm making a two-horned deer a big deal even though every deer is supposed to have one, but hey, let's focus on the unicorn, shall we?) Unicorn was born in the town of Prato near Florence, Italy. But here's the thing, Unicorn isn't the only one-horned deer that ever lived, but they're rare and Unicorn is a rare case because his horn is in the middle of his forehead when normal one-horned deer (I can't believe I'm calling them normal) usually has the horn on one side of his head, so he's pretty rare. I can't say that I've ever seen one of these remarkable one-horned deer, but they sound awesome!!!

B.T. That wasn't the case this time, though. A Dorset, England, mother and her son, Helene and Magnus Marshall, were walking one day when Helene heard a horrible noise coming from Magnus and Magnus said that there was a fly in his hair, so Helene went to go check it out and there was this HUGE bee in his hair trying to dig into his head. Helene picked it out and when it came out it flew into the air and went straight for the back of her head. She was really scared and asked another woman that was getting out of her car to help her and she did, but the bee came back and went into the woman's hair. Helene helped her get it out and afterwards they beat it to death. Like I said in the beginning, usually in Dorset after one sting the bees die. Helene said that it was probably from somewhere else. Also, I know you think that Helene doesn't count as a bystander if she's also the victim, bit Magnus got attacked first and the woman in the car had nothing to do with it in the first place except for when she helped the Marshalls.

B.T. There's a monster at the bottom of Lake Pepin in Minnesota! Three years ago, a man Steve Raymond said that he saw some sort of creature with three humps and he believes that it may have just been a log. When he took a closer look, the log went under water. Good thing before it went under water he took a picture. When he developed the picture he said that it looked a lot like a sea serpent. Three years later he can't find the picture, but they at least gave him a name. Maybe not a fierce name, but a name that fits. He was named Peppy.

B.T. You wonder what happened to those now-skeptical Nessie hunters who at one point had been on the hunt for adventure and Nessie. What was it that drove them from their pursuit? Well, some people think that Nessie has... died.
From the beginning people have always been a bit skeptical and have always had their doubts. Everyone has a right to their opinion, but why now? That's a question that has already, to some people, been answered. There have been very strange theories about what Nessie really is from swimming deer to giant eels, but the strangest I've heard is the theory that was started in 2006 by a museum curator by the name of Neil Clark. He had noted that a circus came to Inverness in 1933 and was run by a guy named Bertram Mills and he decide that since Nessie was in the papers so much, he would take advantage of the situation and offer 20,000 pounds for her capture. Well, Neil Clark had a theory that one of Mills' elephants is Nessie swimming in Loch Ness and its head and back are the humps and its trunk is the eerie head that people have been talking about for years.

One of the many respected veteran Nessie hunters is a man named Robert Rines and I have written about him in another one of my blog items. The Sasquatch Burger weighs a supreme total of seven and a half pounds!!!! That's more than I've consumed in 3 days!!! Whoever feels that they are up to the task (which I certainly wouldn't be), the people at the Bigfoot Lodge have a challenge for whoever can finish the Sasquatch Burger in 60 minutes or less. The last documented participant of the challenge was a 21-year-old guy named Patrick Bertoletti. A certain Ruben Horseman, a volunteer fire chief and well-known fly-on-the-wall of Hays, as you would've guessed, heard the rumor as easy as taking a breath of fresh air. When he heard it, he knew perhaps he should go check it out. With only a camera, two friends, and a hunger for some good info only a man like him could feel, he set out into Mission Canyon, which is just south of Hays. There, they found 25 footprints and numerous hand prints on the wall, one being surrounded by blood and hair, but what they found soon after was one of the most important pieces of the puzzle... I was a half-eaten coyote. Apparently, the coyote had been grabbed by the legs and bitten through the middle, according to Horseman. But, I'm sorry to say that it was a hoax. One of the Tribune's staff, Anthony Shambo, confessed that it was his younger brother, Reno Shambo, trying to pull a prank on his young son. Sorry to break it to you, folks.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://cryptozooblog.blogspot.com/2008/04/what-such-phenomena-could-spread-rumors.html' title='What such phenomena could spread rumors? Whoever tells you that is a complete moron. California wolverines (scientists believe) became extinct in 1922. Wolverines aren't known to live in Tahoe so the closest thing to it would be a California wolverine. What was this strange creature? The wolverine was found in the Tahoe National Forest captured on a remote camera and it didn't appear to have been from California or Washington. US Forest service scientists told us this. They also told us that it resembled wolverines that they had seen in the Rocky Mountains, but it's not quite clear where it came from... or how it got there. Michael Schwartz, a research ecologist and the genetics team leader for the Forest Service's Rocky Mountain Research Station, basically said that this was a gene similar to wolverines in the Rocky Mountains, Montana, and Wyoming and they can also be found in Canada and Alaska. This is so cool. I never knew wolverines couldn't be found in Tahoe.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://cryptozooblog.blogspot.com/2008/04/wolverines-found-in-tahoe-usual.html' title='Wolverines found in Tahoe. Two fishermen that were fishing in the lake had caught some of the beast on camera. They even got video.

The two, as they put it in the video, "not-crazy guys" gave their pictures and video to two retired FBI analysts and they said that there was nothing to their knowledge to prove that this picture was really a hoax, but one of the videos they took didn't exactly support their theory. It didn't look at all like there was anything there in that shot. They have festivals of all sorts, but there was one event that they people of Derry were not prepared for. During one of the events taking place, people claim to have caught their eye on what appeared to be a man-ape. That's right readers. we're talking about Bigfoot!!! The local person in charge of strange occurrences, Stan Gordon, had been the local expert on all unexplained phenomenons since 1959 had been taking notes on Bigfoot, and a lot of other cryptids. Last year, Stan's notes traced Bigfoot, with the help of the reports he had gotten, to Westmoreland County, more specifically, Chestnut Ridge. By what Stan says, the local residents of the county see strange footprints and noises that scare their pets.

B.T. (Well, actually, there's an exception for songs about Sasquatch.)
Well, anyways, there's going to be a concert called "The Sasquatch Music Festival". It's gong to feature bands like R.E.M. and Modest Mouse. There are a lot more, but I won't take up all of this page to tell you them. The music festival will be held at George, Washington (laugh if you like, but I'm serious) on May 24-26. But, sadly, there might be though, but there probably won't be any mention of Bigfoot. Their way is not what I'd choose to do, but it's a pretty good way. In my opinion, you should start from scratch. You know, read up on some cryptids and cryptozoologists. Then, start to actually search for them and then maybe you either join a cryptozoological group like BCSCC, or, make up your own. But, I still think that the guy's online way isn't a bad way either. Actually, the stuff they recommend is what you should do LATER. At least in my opinion. Like, one of the things the guys recommended was after joining a cryptozoological group, go on an actual expedition.

B.T. No. Just kidding. But this hilarious joke (no matter how funny it is) doesn't explain this question, what did leave footprints at Berkeley? That's exactly what Marc Centin, an exhibition designer at Hearst Museum, and Sherrilyn Roush, an associate professor at UC Berkeley want to know. The picture to the right shows the footprints casted by the late anthropologist, Grover Krantz, which he donated in 1970. The casting shows one normal print (normal, meaning normal for a Big-footed cryptid.) and the other is sorta deformed (Yes. I know it's already deformed being big.)
In my opinion, the deformed (do I have to go over this again?) foot might just be messy casting. Loch Ness Monster going to make children happy, or make cryptozoologists everywhere crazy? The Takara toy company has released a radio controlled Nessie that goes 5 m.p.h. and dips underwater. Cryptozoologists ask: is this going to cause more Nessie hoaxes? The toy may turn out like the incident with the surgeon's photo, one of the most famous Nessie hoaxes. At least in my opinion it might. Loren Coleman thinks the same as me. He says that the toy might not be clearly seen on foggy nights and cause a ruckus. Of course, there was already a Bigfoot toy made and that caused a few mishaps, but we learn from our mistakes. People have already learned it is good to check it, in case it's a hoax, but Loren Coleman also says that it might be harder to make out.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://cryptozooblog.blogspot.com/2008/02/is-new-rc-nessie-such-good-thing.html' title='Is the new r.c. Yes. It does LOOK like Bigfoot, but actually, it isn't really what you think it is . The photo was taken by Spirit, one of NASA's Mars rovers. But, there remains a question still lingering in the air, what is that thing? Well, sorry to disappoint you, but the unknown thing is actually just a rock. A 15 ft. naturally sculpted rock (at least according to Spirit's picture it is.) The only reason you think this thing is Bigfoot is because of a psychological phenomenon called Pareidolia. Pareidolia is when our minds try to figure out something that you can't quite make out, but have a hunch what it is.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://cryptozooblog.blogspot.com/2008/02/oh-my-gosh-its-bigfoot-on-mars-not-so.html' title='Oh my gosh!!! Why? Well, I bet YOU don't go walking around all the time with a camera in your pocket. ..... Fine! Maybe cell phones DO have built in cameras. Even so, by the time you would have your cell phone on the camera setting the creature would have disappeared. So there.
The Thylacine may just have been foxes, or stray dogs, or something, but that won't stop the investigation. They could be out there still and we wouldn't even know it. This is a song by the The Weakerthans. This is a band I've just heard of. None the less, they're really good!!! To all the people who like music AND cryptozoology, LISTEN TO THIS SONG!!! Trust me, it's good. I think this is from the point of view of Roger Patterson, the man who made the Bigfoot video and got proved a hoax.

B.T. I guess that makes him pretty much a cryptozoologist!) is questioning all he has done. For 30 years (and Mackerle being 65) Mackerle and a band of friends have traveled all around the world seeking out cryptids, lost kingdoms, hidden treasures, et cetera et cetera. "I've been doing this for a LONG time" said Mackerle while recounting some of his cryptozoological escapades. He had said that most people settle down, have children, and make a considerable wage, but he says he feels he has the right to follow his own dreams. (Well at least it will be in 5 years). In 5 years, the Canadian Centre for DNA Barcoding people hope that they will be able to develop a hand-held device that when a DNA sample of an animal is put on a small strip, will tell you what animal it is. Australian museums, botanic gardens, and the CSIRO have DNA-tested 2000 species of moths and butterflies, 700 species of fish and 300 species of birds for the project. "It could be a hair or a feather" said Dr. Paul Herbert, the director of the Canadian Centre for DNA Barcoding. In my opinion (and yes this is B.T. Makishima talking) this could revolutionize the way we look at cryptozoology today. I got this information from an article in cryptozoology.com

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://cryptozooblog.blogspot.com/2008/02/argument-over-whether-it-is-wolf-or-fox.html' title='Argument over whether it is a wolf or a fox? They were first seen on the shores of the Las Pierdras river in Peru's south-eastern Amazon. They left their "houses" (if that's what you could call them) on the beach to watch the plane chartered by Peru's Environment Agency, fly by. The second time one of the Agency planes passed by, an Indian woman passed by with arrows and a little boy that was with her was gesturing aggressively. "This is the first time we've seen them" said said Peru's national Indian organization AIDESEP. Survival director Stephen Corry wants the Indians to live with Americans and live like Americans do because he feels like they could have a better life in America.

B.T. It flew around, then stayed still in the air for 30 minutes..... and then moved. After that, it disappeared. And then, when another car drove in, the thing was on the car's windshield. The owner of the gas station, Amed Abudaaria played it over twice to make sure he was seeing it right. When the customers saw the ghost they started conversing about what it was amongst each other. "It gave me the creeps" commented one of the customers. "I think an angel has appeared here"said another. The fuzziness of the object was due to the proximity of the camera. The bluish glow, at first it was considered to be a sign of supernatural activity, but after a lot of speculation, we have decided that it was just some sort of bug, and the light was reflecting from the neon sign.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://cryptozooblog.blogspot.com/2008/02/ghost-bug-angel-what-is-it.html' title='A ghost? Now, on behalf of myself, the Lawndale Incident was when on July 25, 1977, in Lawndale, Illinois, two gigantic birds commonly known in the cryptozoology world as Thunderbirds picked up ten-year old Marlon Lowe right out of his backyard. Luckily they dropped him, just a few feet off the ground soon after probably due to the screams of his mother and six other neighbors.

B.T. It was caught on camera in the Crestview water system. "It seemed to be hiding from the water" said sewer worker Randy Ferguson. "It was like it was keeping its tentacles away from the water, too". The discovery was in a pipe near 76th and Pecos. Randy and his partner, Mike Parker asked the Colorado Division of Wildlife because in all of the 20 years they had worked they had never seen anything like it. The aquatic specialist that was trying to find out what it was finally confirmed that it was a Bryozoan. It was also confirmed that the species was 350 million years old.
