Is It Really The Champ?

Somehow, the monster of Lake Champlain has once again, stunned, amazed, and mystified his fans. Two fishermen that were fishing in the lake had caught some of the beast on camera. They even got video.

The two, as they put it in the video, "not-crazy guys" gave their pictures and video to two retired FBI analysts and they said that there was nothing to their knowledge to prove that this picture was really a hoax, but one of the videos they took didn't exactly support their theory. It didn't look at all like there was anything there in that shot. Once again, another lake monster has befuddled us.

Derry Area Sees Fabled Man-Ape

The Township of Derry has many events to offer. They have festivals of all sorts, but there was one event that they people of Derry were not prepared for. During one of the events taking place, people claim to have caught their eye on what appeared to be a man-ape. That's right readers. we're talking about Bigfoot!!! The local person in charge of strange occurrences, Stan Gordon, had been the local expert on all unexplained phenomenons since 1959 had been taking notes on Bigfoot, and a lot of other cryptids. Last year, Stan's notes traced Bigfoot, with the help of the reports he had gotten, to Westmoreland County, more specifically, Chestnut Ridge. By what Stan says, the local residents of the county see strange footprints and noises that scare their pets.

Sasquatch Music Festival

Sasquatch and music don't go together, right? (Well, actually, there's an exception for songs about Sasquatch.)
Well, anyways, there's going to be a concert called "The Sasquatch Music Festival". It's gong to feature bands like R.E.M. and Modest Mouse. There are a lot more, but I won't take up all of this page to tell you them. The music festival will be held at George, Washington (laugh if you like, but I'm serious) on May 24-26. But, sadly, there might be though, but there probably won't be any mention of Bigfoot. But, that's still no reason to miss out on this awesome event.

It's a Komodo Dragon, it's a Chameleon it's... Lizard Man?

Though no one has actually seen him, Lizard Man is claimed to have returned in the bone -chilling winter of February 29, 2008 in the town of Bishopville, South Carolina.
One Thursday morning..... it happened. "I woke up, came outside, and saw the front of our car all chewed up"said Bishopville citizen Dixie Rawson. Then, it dawned on her that this could be the fabled "Lizard Man" and his dirty work. The Lizard Man was last spotted almost two decades ago at the local "Scape Ore" swamp. To find out more got to WIS News Columbia, South Carolina swamp monster.

What to do in order to be an official cryptozoologist

I was searching for something to blog about when I spotted something called How To Become a Cryptozoologist. Their way is not what I'd choose to do, but it's a pretty good way. In my opinion, you should start from scratch. You know, read up on some cryptids and cryptozoologists. Then, start to actually search for them and then maybe you either join a cryptozoological group like BCSCC, or, make up your own. But, I still think that the guy's online way isn't a bad way either. Actually, the stuff they recommend is what you should do LATER. At least in my opinion. Like, one of the things the guys recommended was after joining a cryptozoological group, go on an actual expedition.

UC Berkeley, I see Cripplefoot

Look out!! Bigfoot's at Berkeley!! No. Just kidding. But this hilarious joke (no matter how funny it is) doesn't explain this question, what did leave footprints at Berkeley? That's exactly what Marc Centin, an exhibition designer at Hearst Museum, and Sherrilyn Roush, an associate professor at UC Berkeley want to know. The picture to the right shows the footprints casted by the late anthropologist, Grover Krantz, which he donated in 1970. The casting shows one normal print (normal, meaning normal for a Big-footed cryptid.) and the other is sorta deformed (Yes. I know it's already deformed being big.)
In my opinion, the deformed (do I have to go over this again?) foot might just be messy casting. But, who am I to judge the cryptozoological mysteries of this world.

Speaking at the Belfast Library

Sorry this is on such short notice, but Loren Coleman is going to be giving a lecture on his life as a cryptozoologist and how he became interested et cetera et cetera. He is also going to be lecturing about what he has learned on his travels about cryptids and Cryptozoology all together.
He will be holding his lecture at the Belfast Library. It will be held at 6:00 pm. This program is free and open to all ages. For more information contact the library at 338-3884, ext. 24. I think it's in the UK.

Sorry I didn't blog about anything these past few days and it's great to be back!!!
